HOW TO DO BATTING
Sports and games have different ways of playing. In this post we will know how to do batting.
BATTING
Cricket is a game in which the team having more run in the end of the match is considered as the winner. These runs are made by the use of the rules of cricket. Most of the runs are made by the batsman by doing batting. Like if a batsman hits the ball directly outside the boundary then the team gets 6 runs, or if the ball has touched the ground after being hitten and it reaches to the boundary then the team gets 4 runs or else the player had to make runs by running between the wickets.Normally people thinks that at the time of batting the player had to attack and try to get boundaries at every ball, which is totally false. Like in every field of life, work is done by some planning, in the same way batting is also done by some planning. Also there is no shortcut to success so do practice as much as you can to excel in batting because Sachin Tendulkar was not born as a cricketer and neither he became a cricketer in a day, he became a legend by his efforts and practice.
TYPES OF BATTING
Batting is mainly of three types1. Defensive
2. Aggressive
3. Intermediate of above two
In defensive type, the moto of batsman is to defend its wicket from falling. This kind of practice could be observed in test format of cricket.
In aggressive type , batsman try to hit boundaries because of limited overs. This kind of practice could be observed in t20 format of cricket.
The intermediate level is when the batsman uses both types of batting skills according to condition of the match. This kind of practice is generally observed in 50 overs match and sometimes in 20 overs also.
So the best way of doing batting is based upon the condition of the match. If you are a beginner then my recommendation is that firstly you should learn defending after that you could start playing intermediate level.
At the time of batting, your focus should be totally on the ball coming towards you and when it reaches towards you then for beginners you have to stop it using the bat and if you are an average player then you could hit the ball in that direction where the field is empty.
Also if you could notice that whether the ball could hit the stumps or not then it could be beneficial to you. Like if you noticed that the ball is not going to hit the stumps then you could hit the ball powerfully towards empty region.
How to do Batting?
Many of you have one common problem in batting and that is, when you play then many times ball hits stump instead of hiiting your bat and you return to your seat with a sad face, right? so to improve this lack in your game you have to change your position and style. So lets suppose you are a right hand player. when you do batting then lets assume that the stump present at your off side is number 1 and the stump present at your leg side is number 3 and the middle one is number 2. Now if you have to remove that gap which comes between your bat and ground then according to me the best position is that, put the ankle of your right leg in parallel with stump number 3 and your left leg in parallel with your right leg with a distance of about 20 to 25 cm. Put your bat in parallel with stump number 1 at some angle in which you are comfortable with.
Now play without picking up your bat at a high distance.
